We’re in Austin to lead a ride for Bicycle Adventure Club which we call “The Whole Enchilada”. So where did that name come from?
Brenda and I have led many tours in the Hill Country; we’ve led 7-day tours our of Fredericksburg, 10-day tours which began and ended in Boerne and 14-day tours which begin and end in Austin. So The Whole Enchilada is the 14-day tour. I think it’s the best of the bunch. It may not cover the entire Hill Country but it gives a pretty good sense of the entire area. Here are the routes we ride and the places we will stay:
We have a very diverse group:
- We’re diverse geographically with participants from Alaska,
Arizona (0r it it Hawaii?) , California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and, of course, Texas. - And we have diverse experience levels with Bicycle Adventure Club. We have the current Chair of the Board of and three past chairs. But we also have 5 people on their first BAC ride.
My challenge will be to write a daily blog while Brenda and I lead the ride. I don’t think I ever done these blogs at the same time - hope I can do it.
