AUNUMN IN THE PYRENEES: Couzia to Duilhac sous Peyrepetuuse

Last night we were in a first class hotel and enjoyed the luxury. Today we continue our trip to the Mediterranean.  Early on we pass roman baths - my Jacuzzi it is not.

On Michelin European maps, yellow roads are quiet roads, somewhat like Farm-to-Market and Ranch Roads in Texas.  If they have a red stripe next to the yellow, they are Scenic Roads.  Bicyclists love these roads, even though they usually are hilly.  We're on D16, a Scenic Road almost all day today.  And there are climbs: Col de Linas, Col d'en Guilhem, Col des Grea and Col de la Croix-dessus - but none are terribly challenging.  Before the town on Cubieres we turn right for an incredible gorge, Defile of Galamus.  See photos below.

As we approach tonight's town, we have the last two of the cols; then we see the town and it's downhill from here.
